Sethan Valley is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh at a distance of 12 KM from Manali. It is a small Buddhist hamlet that consists of between 12 and 15 families which call it their paradise. It has nothing to do with a chaotic urban lifestyle and offers peace and tranquility to its visitors. The inhabitants migrated here from different parts of Himachal Pradesh, and they were shepherds. All these people of this village belong to the Khampa tribe. Life in this village becomes very tough during the months of winter because the temperature drops below 0 degrees Celsius. Therefore, farming is not possible for them. In the winter, they moved to Kullu Valley.

Sethan Valley is situated at 2700 meters above sea level. One can get a glimpse of the Dauladhar range with the mesmerizing Beas River cascading through the valley. The Beas River divides between two prominent ranges of the Himalayas-Dauladhar and PirPanjal.

Sethan Valley is just 12 km away from Manali. After reaching Manali, you will find local buses or taxis running between Manali and Sethan Valley. But it is important to know how to reach Manali in the first place.

By Road:
You can easily find buses that run to Manali daily from all the major cities near Manali including Delhi and Chandigarh. Besides, you can drive yourself here in your car or a rented vehicle.
By Rail:
Joginder Railway Station is the nearest railway station located at a distance of 160km from Sethan Valley. It is a small station, and you cannot find a direct train till here. So it would not be the best option to reach Sethan Valley.
By Air:
Kullu Manali Airport in Bhuntur is the nearest airport which is 50 km away from Manali. you can catch a flight till here; then hire a taxi that will take you to Manali or straight to Sethan Valley if you are not stopping over in Manali.
