Gopala-tapani Upanisad (Purva) | Commentary by Bhagiratha Jha
Download DOC
Description
This is the much longer Purva-tapini commentary. The Uttara-tapini was completed and uploaded in August.
Bhagiratha Jha was a scholar of the Nimbarka sampradaya. This is by far the most exhaustive commentary on the Gopala Tapani, giving extensive insight into the Vedantic and Upanishadic background of the text. The author quotes many Vedanta commentaries and Upanishadic sources, as well as Gaudiya texts from the six Goswamis to Baladeva Vidyabhushan. I consider it a good study of the Nimbarka bhedabheda philosophy and very useful. This commentary is known as Vedanta-tattva-samiksha Jagat 2005-11-13. Source texts
