This text consists of 446 verses in glorification of Mathura and the various holy places within Mathura, taken mostly from the Puranas and Upapuranas(primarily Padma, Varaha, Adi-varaha, Skanda, etc.), including six verses from the Bhagavata-purana.

This second edition has been enriched by the addition of an index giving cross references to the places where the verses have been quoted in Bhakti-ratnakara.
