Velma Costume
Velma is one of the most popular characters in the Scooby-Doo franchise. Her sharp intellect, level-headed attitude and thick glasses make her the brains of the gang when they solve mysteries that the police can't handle. This 4 piece costume includes a bright orange turtleneck sweater that stretches to fit and a red pleated skirt with an elastic band around the waist. It also includes a pair of knee high orange socks and black Mary Jane shoes to complete the look.

A wig is not included with this costume but a short brunette bob wig will easily match Velma's appearance. A pair of plastic, non-prescription glasses will finish the look. You can find these at dollar stores, costume shops or party supply stores. This adult Velma Costume is perfect for Halloween or dress-up parties. Coordinate with a few friends to recreate the entire Scooby-Doo gang or go solo as the smart, sassy Velma Dinkley. This costume fits women's size 6-8.
As the well-read brain of the Mystery Machine crew, Velma Dinkley is able to solve any case with her sharp intellect. Her level-headed attitude and knack for noticing the small details of any situation allow her to spot a disguised baddie faster than anyone else. With a simple shout of “Jinkies!” she is sure to have the case figured out in no time.

To pull off this classic character, you will need a bright orange turtleneck sweater that fits true to size. It’s also important to have a red pleated skirt and matching orange knee high socks. Ideally, you will want to wear shoes that are red or black but any style will do.

To finish off your costume, a cute character wig* and fake black rim glasses** will do the trick. Be sure to find a pair that is relatively thick in the frames and close in color to your sweater. Velma typically wore shoes that were Mary Jane style with a low heel.
