Profile
The Brazilian giant tawny red tarantula (Nhandu chromatus) is an eye-catching species that lives in South America. It has a tawny brown body with a golden carapace and a contrasting white stripe on each leg.
These spiders can grow to 5-6 inches long in length, and up to an 8-inch legspan. They can live in a terrarium, but they’re better suited to more experienced owners as they’re skittish and don’t like a lot of noise or other pets. Photo
