Title
Vrindavana-rasa-tattva-samiksa
Author
Description
I have decided to post this karika only version of this interesting text by a modern Nimbarki. This was written in about 1947, but only published in 1997 (ed. Vaidyanath Jha, Vrindavan: Nimbarka Mahavidyalaya).. It seems to be an excerpt from a long work called Yugma-tattva-samiksa.

I have to say that I enjoyed this book. There are some good insights into the nature of rasa. Jha's strength is his knowledge of the Upanishads and Vedanta, which he uses extensively. Here, he also draws on the Natya-sastra and other texts to make his points.

Of interest to Gaudiyas will be the refutation of paraikiya rasa.

I will be posting another text by Bhagiratha Jha in the near future--his Vedanta-tattva-samiksa, a commentary on Gopala-tapani Upanishad.
